>Favorite Fall Fashion Magazine.

>Okay, so GQ is first and foremost a men’s magazine. Still, I don’t think the cover is very tasteful at all. That said, GQ October 2008, is my FAVORITE fall fashion magazine. I always enjoy GQ, but this issue is particularly good and I highly recommend it. The thing I love about good mens magazines is the humor. The writing is always smart and everything is less stuffy.

So fashion magazines.. yes, they’re what, 80% advertisements? Awesome. I think it’s great because you get all of the new Fall/Winter ad campaigns, which I like to go through and analyze! I would honestly pay for a magazine that was just a collection of the new designer ads.

Aside from the brilliant ads, here are some highlights from the issue:
-Creative interview suit ideas.
-The always hilarious Style Guy.
Shots from The Sartorialist, though not his best work.
-How to cook with salt.
-Spread on NYC’s West Village.
-Feature on menswear designer Neil Barrett.

Sports jacket, $295, by Perry Ellis. Sweater, $98, by J.Crew. T-shirt, $12 (for three), by Hanes. (Hanes! This is what I meant by less stuffy. In a women’s fashion magazine it would be a white tee-shirt for $200 from Dolce & Gabbana.)
