>The Fashion Professor, Financial District, SF.
>Meet Desanka of Raredove. She just started teaching fashion at the Academy of Art University, where she got her MFA years ago. All I have to say is, when I was in fashion school, none of my professors looked this good! There’s certainly something to a professor dressing professional and distinguishing him/herself from the students, but when it come to fashion school I think her style is inspiring.
Her look incorporates so many textures–leather on fringe, rubber boots and, you can only see a hint of it, but her bag is studded. The right textures, details and silhouette make all-black a lot more interesting.
But for me, what really makes her look is how she’s worked her hair and accessorized with the glitzy jewels. First, it’s so easy to do just a little something to your hair! Also, if you have glam jewelry, it’s best to tone it down by pairing it with a very casual outfit. Here the necklace is toned down, but also gives a grungy outfit a feminine twist.
