Rain, rain, go away!
We can sing and wish it away all we want, but any SF girl knows we’re in for our annual spring showers. The upside? Rainy weather is one trend that keeps coming back, so investing in a good pair of rain boots is a definite must.
Let’s take a moment to thank Kate Moss, for launching the Wellie trend, back in 2006, when she made muddy Hunter rain-boots look sexy, with a pair of micro-mini shorts (Of course she did!). Designers and fans quickly took note, and what was once a childhood accessory for jumping in puddles, suddenly boomed as trendy adult footwear.
While colorful, printed Wellies are fun, the trend is moving toward sleek, subtle rain boots that look like everyday footwear. Using rubber and plastic to make modern rain boots is no easy task, but designers continue to amaze us — most recently with wedge, lace-up andhybrid designs. Check out our 7 favorites for staying stylish and dry in the rain.

Waves of Bay Area tech geeks, music lovers and general party people alike have been gettin’ down in Austin-town at South by Southwest (SXSW). With every concert being a party, and every conference having an after-party, it’s basically Spring Break for grown-ups.
SXSW is rooted in rock ‘n’ roll, and with that in mind, we’ve comprised an edgy layered outfit. This dress is sophisticated enough to attend lectures in, sexy enough for mega-networking and, with a trendy hat and sunglasses, its hip enough for any indie band. When the sun goes down, bring out that statement necklace and cropped leather jacket — urban chic, but still rock ‘n’ roll. Last but not least, when in Texas, just remember, everything goes with a good pair of cowboy boots.

And, of course, we adore wedges for their comfort and versatility — not to mention their super lengthening powers. White wedges are a subtly striking combination, and we’re guessing your new go-tos.
Whether you’re going for a bright, clean white, or opting for more of an off-white, these kicks will add a refreshing accent to any Spring look. And with that, we present 7 white wedges we love.
